"Access request: read-only role for the billing database"
"[Action needed] Approve the firewall change by Thursday"
"Delay: API migration moves to November 15"
"Follow-up: SSO integration questions"
"Incident summary: login errors on October 20"
Saludos y cierres: formal vs. neutral
| Contexto | Saludo | Cierre |
|---|---|---|
| Formal (no conoces a la persona) | Dear Ms. Lee, / Dear Mr. Ortiz, | Kind regards, / Best regards, |
| Neutral (colegas, clientes conocidos) | Hi Sarah, / Hello team, | Best, / Thanks, / Regards, |
| Informal (tu equipo directo) | Hi all, / Hey Tom, | Thanks! / Cheers, |
Antes de la firma, una frase de cierre ayuda: Let me know if you have any questions. o Thanks in advance.
Frases para cada situación
Pedir algo
"Could you grant me access to the staging cluster?"
"Would you be able to review the PR by Friday?"
"I'd appreciate it if you could share the API documentation."
Hacer seguimiento
"Just following up on my email from Monday."
"I wanted to check in on the status of the access request."
"Any update on this? We need it to start testing next week."
Dar malas noticias o avisar retrasos
"Unfortunately, we won't be able to deliver the migration by the 30th."
"We found an issue during testing that needs more time to fix."
"The new estimated date is November 15. I'll confirm by next Wednesday."
Escalar
"I'd like to escalate this, as it's blocking the release."
"Adding Laura, who can help with the approval."
"We've been waiting on this for two weeks. Could you help us get it prioritized?"
Disculparse
"Sorry for the late reply."
"Apologies for the confusion. The correct version is attached."
"My mistake. I sent the wrong link. Here's the right one."
Nota: Sorry for the delay está bien; no hace falta pedir perdón tres veces.
Seis plantillas completas
1. Pedir acceso
Subject: Access request: read-only role for the billing database
Hi Mark,
Could you grant me read-only access to the billing database in production? I need it to investigate ticket OPS-482, which affects invoice generation.
My manager, Ana, has already approved it. Let me know if you need anything else from me.
Thanks,
Diego
2. Seguimiento sin sonar insistente
Subject: Follow-up: SSO integration questions
Hi Priya,
Just following up on my email from last Tuesday about the SSO integration. We'd like to start testing on Monday, so it would help to have your answers by Friday.
I've copied the two open questions below for reference.
Best,
Diego
3. Avisar un retraso
Subject: Delay: API migration moves to November 15
Hi team,
Unfortunately, the API migration won't be ready by October 30. During load testing, we found a performance issue in the authentication service that we need to fix first.
The new target date is November 15. I'll send another update next Wednesday with our progress.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and let me know if this affects your plans.
Best regards,
Diego
4. Escalar un bloqueo
Subject: [Action needed] Firewall change blocking the release
Hi Robert,
I'd like to escalate the firewall change request CHG-1093. It's been pending for ten days, and it's now blocking our release planned for next Tuesday.
Could you help us get it reviewed this week? I'm happy to join a call to explain the change.
Thanks,
Diego
5. Disculparse por un error
Subject: Correction: maintenance window time
Hi all,
Apologies, my previous email had the wrong time. The maintenance window is on Saturday from 22:00 to 23:00 UTC, not 21:00.
Everything else stays the same.
Thanks,
Diego
6. Primer contacto formal con un proveedor
Subject: Question about enterprise support plans
Dear Ms. Taylor,
I'm a DevOps engineer at Andes Logistics, and we're evaluating your monitoring platform for our production environment.
Could you share the details of your enterprise support plans, including response times for critical issues?
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Diego Fuentes

"Hey Mark, could you give me read-only access to the billing DB? It's for OPS-482. Thanks!"
|---|---|---|
| I write you to ask about the access. | I'm writing to ask about the access.
| Waiting for your answer. | Looking forward to your reply. / Let me know what you think. | Suena impaciente o exigente. |
| Please your help with this. | Could you help me with this? | Calco de "por favor su ayuda". |
| I send you the document attached. | I've attached the document. / Please find the document attached. | Orden y tiempo verbal. |
