"Hi, this is Carla from IT Support. How can I help you today?"
"Thanks for reaching out. Before we start, could I get your full name and employee ID?"
"Do you have a ticket number for this issue?"
En chat, la versión escrita es casi igual, pero más corta: "Hi Mark, thanks for contacting IT Support. I'm looking into your request now."
- What exactly happens when you try to log in?
- What does the error message say? / Could you read me the error message?
- When did this start? / Was it working before?
- Has anything changed recently, like an update or a new device?
- Is it happening on every device or just your laptop?
- Are your colleagues having the same problem?
- Are you connected to the VPN right now?
- Have you tried restarting it?
Si no entendiste, pide repetir sin miedo. Es mucho peor adivinar:
"Sorry, could you say that again? I want to make sure I got it right."
"Just to confirm: you can open Outlook, but you can't send emails. Is that correct?"
Los conectores ordenan la conversación: first, next, then, once that's done.
"First, click the Start menu in the bottom-left corner. Let me know when you see it."
"Next, go to Settings and select Network & Internet."
"Once that's done, close the window and try again. What do you see now?"
Verbos que vas a usar todo el tiempo: click, double-click, right-click, select, type, enter, scroll down, sign out, sign back in, restart, unplug, plug it back in.
Si necesitas acceso remoto:
"Would it be okay if I connected to your computer remotely? You'll see a prompt asking for permission."
"I understand how frustrating this is, especially before a meeting."
"I'm sorry for the trouble. Let's get this fixed as quickly as possible."
"I can see why you're upset. Here's what I'm going to do right now."
"I don't have an answer yet, but I'll find out and get back to you by 3 p.m."
Evita calm down (casi siempre empeora las cosas) y that's not my problem. Si no puedes resolver algo, di lo que sí puedes hacer: "What I can do is…"
Poner en espera, escalar y transferir
Poner en espera
"Would you mind holding for a moment while I check this?"
"Thanks for holding. I've found the problem."
Escalar
"This needs to be handled by our network team. I'm going to escalate your ticket to them."
"I've escalated it as high priority. They should contact you within the next hour."
Transferir
"I'm going to transfer you to the accounts team. Please stay on the line."
Siempre di qué va a pasar después y cuándo.
"Can you confirm that everything is working now?"
"Is there anything else I can help you with?"
"I'll close the ticket, but if the issue comes back, just reply to the email and it will reopen automatically."
"Thanks for your patience. Have a good rest of your day."
- Summary: User unable to connect to VPN after password reset.
- Steps to reproduce: 1. Open the VPN client. 2. Enter credentials. 3. Click Connect.
- Expected result: VPN connects successfully.
- Actual result: "Authentication failed" error after 30 seconds.
- Impact: User cannot access internal tools. Affects one user.
- Troubleshooting done: Restarted client, verified account is active, cleared saved credentials.
Nota de resolución
"Root cause: the VPN client was still using the old cached password. Cleared the saved credentials and had the user sign in again. Connection confirmed working. Closing ticket."
Alfa, Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot, Golf, Hotel, India, Juliett, Kilo, Lima, Mike, November, Oscar, Papa, Quebec, Romeo, Sierra, Tango, Uniform, Victor, Whiskey, X-ray, Yankee, Zulu.
"My last name is Núñez: N as in November, U as in Uniform, N as in November, E as in Echo, Z as in Zulu."
Emails
@ es at, . es dot, _ es underscore, - es hyphen o dash.
"It's j dot perez underscore it at company dot com." ([email protected])
"The IP is one nine two dot one six eight dot one dot ten." (192.168.1.10)
Para el cero, en soporte conviene decir zero en vez de oh, para evitar confusiones con la letra O. Y para confirmar, repite siempre: "Let me read that back to you."
Errores comunes
| ❌ Lo que decimos | ✅ Lo que se dice | Por qué |
|---|---|---|
| Did you try to restart? | Have you tried restarting it? |
| I'm going to pass you with the network team. | I'm going to transfer you to the network team. | Traducción literal de "te paso con". |
| Calm down, please. | I understand how frustrating this is. | Reconocer funciona mejor que pedir calma. |
| You must to update the driver. | You'll need to update the driver. | Must nunca lleva to, y you'll need to suena menos autoritario. |
| Wait me a moment. | Could you give me a moment? / Bear with me. | Wait necesita for: wait for me. |
| The system is falling. | The system is down. / It keeps crashing. | "Se cae" no se traduce con fall. |
